About Ezra
Ezra was a priest and teacher who knew God’s law. He returned to Jerusalem and helped the people learn what was written in it.
Ezra stood on a wooden platform and read from the scroll while the people listened. Helpers explained the words so everyone could understand. The people praised God together.
Ezra helped the people hear and learn God’s word. His story is told in the books of Ezra and Nehemiah.
