The story behind this colouring sheet
Every Easter, many churches hold a sunrise service. People get up very early, just like the women who went to the tomb, to celebrate as the sun comes up.
The sunrise reminds us of that first Easter morning, when the darkness of Friday turned into the joy of Sunday. The angel said, "He has risen! He is not here."
Jesus is called the Light of the World. On Easter morning, light won over darkness and life won over death!
Talk about it
- What is coming up behind the tomb?
- What did the angel say about Jesus?
- Why is Easter morning such a happy time?
