The story behind this colouring sheet
Jesus and His friends were on their way to Jerusalem for the Passover festival. Near a village, Jesus sent two disciples ahead.
"You'll find a young donkey tied up that no one has ever ridden," He said. "Untie it and bring it here. If anyone asks, say 'The Lord needs it.'"
Everything happened just as Jesus said! The disciples brought the donkey and put their cloaks on its back, and Jesus sat on it.
Long before, the prophet Zechariah had said that Israel's King would come riding on a donkey. Jesus was showing everyone that He is that gentle, humble King.
