“In the garden was a new tomb”
The story behind this colouring sheet
The Bible tells us that near the place where Jesus died there was a garden, and in the garden was a new tomb. That's where Jesus was laid — and where He rose again!
Many families, churches and schools make an Easter garden. They use a tray of soil and moss to make a little hill with three crosses, and a tomb with a stone across the door.
On Easter morning, the stone is rolled away to show the tomb is empty! Why not make one with your family this Easter?
Talk about it
- Can you find the tomb in the garden?
- Where was the tomb where Jesus was laid?
- What would you put in your own Easter garden?
