The story behind this colouring sheet
On Easter Sunday afternoon, two of Jesus' followers were walking to a village called Emmaus. They were sad and confused, talking about everything that had happened.
A stranger joined them and asked what they were talking about. It was Jesus — but they didn't recognise Him!
As they walked, Jesus explained everything the Bible said about Him. When they reached the village, they invited Him in for supper. Jesus took bread, thanked God and broke it — and suddenly they knew who He was! Then He disappeared.
"Didn't our hearts burn inside us while He talked with us?" they said, and they ran all the way back to Jerusalem.
