About the story
Samson was born to an Israelite family after an angel told his mother that she would have a son. He grew up, and God blessed him. Samson became known for his great strength, but he also made choices that brought trouble. The Philistines captured him and cut his hair. Later, when his hair had begun to grow again, they brought him into a large building. Samson prayed and asked God to give him strength once more. He pushed against the building's pillars, and the building fell. Samson's story is difficult and ends sadly. These pages focus on his birth and his prayer, while helping children understand that his choices had serious consequences.
