About Anna
Anna was a prophet — someone who shared God's messages — and she was 84 years old. She spent all her time at the temple in Jerusalem, worshipping God with prayer and fasting, day and night.
When Mary and Joseph brought baby Jesus to the temple, Anna came up to them at just the right moment. She knew at once that this baby was the one God had promised.
Anna gave thanks to God and told everyone who was waiting for God's rescue all about Jesus.
