About Hezekiah
Hezekiah ruled Judah from Jerusalem. He trusted God and encouraged the people to worship God. When Sennacherib, the king of Assyria, threatened Jerusalem, Hezekiah prayed for help, and God protected the city.
Later, Hezekiah became very sick. Isaiah told him to prepare for death, so the king turned to the wall and prayed. He wept and asked God to remember how he had tried to serve faithfully. God heard his prayer and sent Isaiah back with a promise that Hezekiah would recover and live fifteen more years.
Hezekiah's life shows that we can bring our worries to God. He listened when God answered and gave thanks for his help. He also trusted Isaiah's guidance and followed the prophet's instructions as God healed him.
