Memory verse
““Turn back, and tell Hezekiah the prince of my people, ‘The LORD, the God of David your father, says, “I have heard your prayer. I have seen your tears. Behold, I will heal you. On the third day, you will go up to the LORD’s house.”

A short version of the story to read aloud before colouring, with questions to ask afterwards.
King Hezekiah became very sick. The prophet Isaiah came to tell him that he would not recover. Hezekiah turned his face to the wall and prayed to God. He reminded God that he had tried to serve him faithfully, and he wept.
Before Isaiah had left the palace, God sent him back with a new message. God had heard Hezekiah's prayer and seen his tears. He would heal the king, and in three days Hezekiah would go to the Lord's house. God also promised to give him fifteen more years.
Hezekiah's story shows that he could speak honestly to God when he was worried. God listened to his prayer and showed him kindness.
Questions to ask
- Who prayed to God when he was sick?
- Who brought Hezekiah a message from God?
