Memory verse

“he knelt on his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God”
Daniel 6:10 · WEBBE

The story behind this colouring sheet

Daniel was one of the king's most important helpers in Babylon. Some of the other leaders were jealous of him, so they made a plan.

They tricked King Darius into making a new law: for thirty days, nobody could pray to anyone except the king. Anyone who did would be thrown into a den of lions!

When Daniel heard about the law, he went home, opened his window and knelt down to pray to God, just as he always did — three times a day.

Daniel knew it was dangerous. But he loved God more than he feared the lions.

Talk about it

  1. What is Daniel doing at his window?
  2. How many times a day did Daniel pray?
  3. Daniel kept praying even when it was hard. When could you make time to pray each day?
