Read the story together

A large army was coming against Judah, and King Jehoshaphat and the people asked God for help. The next morning, the king encouraged everyone to trust God. Then he chose singers to walk ahead of the army.
The singers praised God and gave thanks for his love. They went out in front of the soldiers, singing as they walked. They did not carry weapons or fight. While the people sang, God caused the enemy armies to turn against one another, and Judah was safe.
Jehoshaphat's story shows the people trusting God together. The singers praised him before they could see what would happen. Their song helped everyone remember that God's love lasts for ever.
