About Jehoshaphat
Jehoshaphat ruled Judah from Jerusalem. He encouraged the people to follow God and appointed judges to make fair decisions. When a large army came against Judah, Jehoshaphat was afraid, but he gathered the people and prayed for help.
God sent a message through Jahaziel, telling the people not to be afraid. The next morning, Jehoshaphat encouraged them to trust God. He appointed singers to walk ahead of the army and praise God for his lasting love. As they sang, the enemy armies turned against one another.
He also sent leaders through Judah to teach people about God's law. Jehoshaphat's story reminds us to seek God when we are afraid. He trusted God and led the people to praise him before they knew what would happen.
