About James (son of Zebedee)
James and his brother John were mending fishing nets in a boat with their father when Jesus called them. They left the boat and followed him.
James became one of the twelve disciples. He was among the three disciples who went with Jesus to the mountain where Jesus' appearance changed. He also witnessed other important moments in Jesus' ministry.
The Bible sometimes distinguishes him as James, son of Zebedee, because another disciple was also named James. He travelled with Jesus and learned from him.
