About Lot
Lot was the nephew of Abraham. He travelled with Abraham and Sarah when they left Haran to follow God.
God blessed them both with so many sheep, goats and cattle that there wasn't enough land for everyone, and their herdsmen began to argue.
Abraham didn't want to quarrel, so he let Lot choose first. Lot picked the green Jordan valley, and Abraham went the other way, trusting God to look after him.
