About the story

God told Abraham to leave his home and go to a new land, promising to bless him and make his family into a great nation. Abraham trusted God and set off with his wife Sarah.

They had no children and were growing old, but God took Abraham outside and told him to count the stars: his family would be just as many. One day three visitors came to their tent and said Sarah would have a son. Sarah laughed!

God kept His promise, and baby Isaac was born. Later, on a mountain, God provided a ram, and Abraham called the place "The Lord Will Provide".
