Read the story together
A short version of the story to read aloud before colouring, with questions to ask afterwards.
Abraham and Sarah were getting old, and they still had no children. Abraham wondered how God's promise could come true.
One night God took Abraham outside. "Look up at the sky," God said. "Count the stars, if you can!"
Abraham looked up. There were too many stars to count! "That's how many children and grandchildren and great-grandchildren you will have," God said.
Abraham believed God. And the Bible says God was pleased with Abraham because he trusted Him.
Questions to ask
- Can you count the stars in the picture?
- What did God promise Abraham?
- God keeps His promises even when they seem impossible. Which of God's promises do you know?
