The story behind this colouring sheet
In the very beginning, there was nothing at all — no sun, no trees, no animals, no people. The world was dark and empty, covered with deep water.
But God was there. And God spoke: "Let there be light!" And at once, there was light!
God saw that the light was good. He separated the light from the darkness. He called the light "day" and the darkness "night".
That was the very first day. Everything God made began with light — and the Bible tells us that God Himself is light.
