The story behind this colouring sheet
On the second day, God made the sky.
There was water everywhere. So God said, "Let there be a space between the waters!" He put some of the water above, high in the clouds, and some below, in the seas. In between was a huge open space — the sky.
God called it "sky". Today, when we look up and see blue sky and fluffy clouds, or feel the wind on our faces, we can remember that God made it all.
And there was evening, and there was morning — the second day.
Talk about it
- Can you point to the clouds in the picture?
- What did God make on the second day?
- What is your favourite thing about the sky — clouds, rain, wind or something else?
