The story behind this colouring sheet
For forty days after Easter, Jesus appeared to His friends many times. Then He took them to the Mount of Olives, near Jerusalem.
Jesus told them to wait in Jerusalem for the Holy Spirit, who would give them power to tell the world about Him.
Then, as they watched, Jesus was taken up into the sky, and a cloud hid Him from their sight. They kept staring up! Two angels appeared and said, "Jesus will come back in the same way you saw Him go."
The disciples went back to Jerusalem full of joy, praising God.
Talk about it
- Where did Jesus go?
- What did the angels promise?
- Jesus will come back one day. How does that make you feel?
