The story behind this colouring sheet
Many families hang a nativity decoration on their Christmas tree to remember what Christmas is really about.
The nativity is the story of Jesus' birth: Mary and Joseph, the stable, the manger, the shepherds and the star.
The Bible says that "when the right time came, God sent His Son, born of a woman". God had planned this for a very long time. Through hundreds of years He had been preparing the world, and at exactly the right moment, Jesus was born.
As you colour this ornament, think about how God planned the first Christmas just for us.
Talk about it
- Who can you see inside the ornament?
- Did God send Jesus by accident, or at just the right time?
- What helps you remember the real meaning of Christmas?
