About the story
Jesus told a story about a shepherd with one hundred sheep. When one sheep wandered away, he left the others together and searched until he found it. He carried the sheep home on his shoulders and called his friends to celebrate. Jesus also told about a woman who lost one of her ten coins. She lit a lamp, swept her house, and searched carefully. When she found the coin, she called her friends to celebrate too. Jesus said heaven rejoices when someone who is lost turns back to God.
