About Boaz
Boaz was a landowner in Bethlehem and a relative of Naomi's late husband. When Ruth came to gather leftover grain in his field, Boaz made sure she was safe and had enough to take home. He had heard that Ruth had stayed with Naomi and cared for her. Boaz later married Ruth, and they had a son named Obed. Obed became the grandfather of King David. Boaz welcomed Ruth into his family and helped provide a home for her and Naomi.
