A short version of the story to read aloud before colouring, with questions to ask afterwards.
Boaz noticed Ruth working in his field and asked his workers who she was. He had heard that Ruth had stayed with Naomi and left her own land to come with her. Boaz spoke kindly to Ruth. He told her to stay in his fields and gather grain with the women who worked there. He also told his workers to leave extra stalks for her and not to trouble her. Ruth thanked Boaz and asked why he was being so kind to a foreigner. Boaz said he had heard about all she had done for Naomi. Ruth continued gathering grain, safe among the workers.
