About Ruth
Ruth was a woman from Moab who married one of Naomi's sons. After her husband died, Ruth chose to stay with Naomi and travel with her to Bethlehem. Ruth worked hard gathering leftover grain to provide food for them. She gleaned in a field belonging to Boaz, who treated her kindly. Ruth and Boaz married and had a son named Obed. He became the grandfather of King David. Ruth's story is remembered for her loyalty to Naomi and for the new family she made in Bethlehem.
