About Mary Magdalene

Mary came from a town called Magdala, beside Lake Galilee. Jesus had healed her, and she followed Him and helped to support His work.

Mary stayed close to Jesus even when He died on the cross. On Easter morning, she went to the tomb and found it empty.

As she stood crying in the garden, Jesus spoke her name: "Mary." She was the very first person to see the risen Jesus, and she ran to tell the disciples, "I have seen the Lord!"
