“He is not here, for he has risen, just like he said. Come, see the place where the Lord was lying.”

The story behind this colouring sheet

The women arrived at the tomb and found the stone rolled away. An angel spoke to them:

"Don't be afraid! I know you are looking for Jesus. He is not here — He has risen, just as He said! Come and see the place where He lay."

The women looked in. The tomb was empty! Only the linen cloths were left.

Jesus was alive! He had beaten death, just as He promised. This is the best news in the whole world, and it's why Christians celebrate Easter with such joy.

Talk about it

  1. Is the tomb full or empty?
  2. What did the angel say about Jesus?
  3. Why is "He is risen!" the best news in the world?
