About the story

Very early on Sunday morning, some women went to Jesus' tomb with spices. They found that the huge stone had been rolled away!

An angel said, "Don't be afraid. He is not here — He has risen, just as He said!" The women ran to tell the disciples, and Peter and John raced to the tomb and found it empty.

Mary Magdalene stayed in the garden, crying, until a man spoke her name. It was Jesus — alive! This is the joyful news Christians celebrate every Easter.
