About Peter
Peter, also called Simon, was a fisherman on Lake Galilee. When Jesus said, "Follow me, and I will make you fishers of people," Peter left his nets and followed Him.
Peter was bold and eager. He walked on water towards Jesus — until he got scared! On the night Jesus was arrested, Peter said three times that he didn't know Him. But after Easter, Jesus forgave him by the lake.
At Pentecost, Peter preached to thousands of people, and he became a leader of the first church.
