“Suddenly there came from the sky a sound like the rushing of a mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.”
The story behind this colouring sheet
Fifty days after Easter, Jesus' followers were all together in one place in Jerusalem. It was the Jewish festival of Pentecost, and the city was full of visitors from many countries.
Suddenly there was a sound from heaven like a mighty rushing wind! It filled the whole house where they were sitting.
Jesus had promised to send the Holy Spirit to help them. Now the promise was coming true!
You can't see the wind, but you can see what it does. The Holy Spirit is like that too.
Talk about it
- What did the sound in the house sound like?
- What had Jesus promised to send?
- You can't see wind, but you can see what it does. What does God's Spirit help us do?
