About Pentecost

Pentecost comes fifty days after Easter. It is when Christians remember the Holy Spirit coming to Jesus' followers like a rushing wind and flames of fire.

On that day the disciples were filled with courage, Peter preached to a huge crowd, and thousands of people believed in Jesus. That's why Pentecost is often called the birthday of the church.
