About Naomi
Naomi lived in Bethlehem with her husband and two sons. After they died, she returned to Bethlehem with her daughter-in-law Ruth. Naomi welcomed Ruth's choice to stay with her. Ruth gathered grain to provide food, and Naomi helped her understand how she might find security with their relative Boaz. Ruth and Boaz married and had a son, Obed. Naomi cared for the baby, and the women of Bethlehem celebrated with her. Obed became the grandfather of King David.
