About the story
Paul wrote a letter to the Christians in Corinth to help them follow Jesus together. They had different gifts and important jobs, but Paul reminded them that every gift should be used with love. The church was learning how to live as one family, even when its members were different.
In his letter, Paul described love as patient and kind. Love does not brag or act as if it is better than others. It is glad when people do what is right, and it keeps caring through trouble. These words help us think about how we treat our family, friends and neighbours.
Paul also wrote that faith, hope and love remain, and that love is the greatest. God’s love does not fail. We can ask God to help us grow in love and show it through everyday choices: listening, sharing, forgiving and helping.
