Memory verse
“But now faith, hope, and love remain… The greatest of these is love.”
Read the story together
A short version of the story to read aloud before colouring, with questions to ask afterwards.
Paul wrote that faith, hope and love remain. We trust God, look forward to the good things he has promised, and love the people around us. These gifts help us live close to God and care for one another. Faith helps us trust him, and hope helps us wait for what he will do.
Paul said that love is the greatest of the three. Love can be seen in small choices: sharing, helping, listening and speaking kindly. We can ask God to help us make those choices at home, at school and with our friends. Love helps us use our gifts to help others.
The heart in this picture reminds us of love. The anchor can remind us of hope, and the cross can remind us of Jesus. The Bible says these gifts matter, and love is the greatest.
Questions to ask
- Who do you love?
- What is one kind thing you can do for someone?
- Why do you think Paul says love is greater than faith and hope?
