“Love is patient and is kind. Love doesn’t envy. Love doesn’t brag, is not proud,”
Read the story together
A short version of the story to read aloud before colouring, with questions to ask afterwards.
Paul explained what love looks like. Love is patient and kind. A patient person can wait for a turn. A kind person notices when someone needs help and does something gentle to help. Paul said that love does not envy, brag or act proudly.
Love is not rude or selfish. It does not keep a list of mistakes. It is glad when people do what is right, and it keeps caring even when things are hard. These words helped the Christians in Corinth think about how to treat one another.
We can practise patient, kind love every day. We can let someone else go first, help a friend pick up toys, or listen while someone is talking. God can help us grow in love, one choice at a time.
Questions to ask
- Can you show a kind smile?
- How could you be patient while waiting for a turn?
- Which part of Paul's description of love would you like to practise this week?
