About the story
Jesus told a story about a farmer who scattered seed. Some seed fell on a hard path, and birds ate it. Some fell on rocky ground and among thorns, where the plants could not grow well. Other seed fell on good soil and produced a big harvest.
Jesus explained that the seed is like God’s message. The different kinds of ground are like the ways people hear it. When people listen and understand, the message can grow in their lives and produce good things.
