Read the story together
A short version of the story to read aloud before colouring, with questions to ask afterwards.
In Jesus story, some of the farmer’s seeds fell on good soil. The seeds grew into strong plants and produced a large harvest. The plants had room to grow and receive what they needed.
Jesus said that good soil is like someone who hears God’s message and understands it. The message can grow in that person’s life and produce good things.
A seed starts small, but it can become a healthy plant. Jesus used this picture to help people think about how they listen and learn.
Questions to ask
- What is growing in the soil?
- What happened to the seeds in good soil?
- How is listening to God’s message like seeds growing?
