As Jesus travelled toward Jerusalem, ten men with a skin disease called out to him from a distance. They asked him to have mercy on them. Jesus told them to go and show themselves to the priests.
As they went, they were made well. One of the ten saw that he was healed and turned back. He praised God loudly, then fell at Jesus' feet and thanked him. The man was a Samaritan.
Jesus asked where the other nine were. He told the man to get up and go, because his faith had made him well. The man returned to give thanks when he saw what had happened.
