About the story
Jesus met many people who were sick or needed help. He listened to them, spoke with them and healed them. Bartimaeus called to Jesus from beside the road, and Jesus gave him sight. A man born blind washed in the pool of Siloam and came back seeing.
People brought a man who could not hear or speak clearly. Jesus helped him, and he could hear and speak. At Peter's home, Jesus took Peter's mother-in-law by the hand, and her fever left.
Jesus also healed people who could not walk and helped a widow whose son had died. The stories show Jesus meeting people where they were and caring for their needs. Many who saw what he did praised God.
