A short version of the story to read aloud before colouring, with questions to ask afterwards.
Bartimaeus was blind and sat beside the road near Jericho, asking people for help. One day he heard a crowd passing by and learned that Jesus was there. Bartimaeus called out, "Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!"
Some people told him to be quiet, but Bartimaeus called even louder. He believed Jesus could help him, and he did not give up asking. Jesus stopped and asked for Bartimaeus to be brought to him.
The crowd called Bartimaeus, saying, "Cheer up! Get up! He is calling you." Bartimaeus stood and went to Jesus. In the next part of the story, Jesus asked what he wanted.
