About the story

Jesus, his mother Mary and his disciples went to a wedding in Cana. During the celebration, the wine ran out. Mary told Jesus and asked the servants to do whatever he said.

Jesus told the servants to fill six large stone jars with water. They filled them to the brim. Then they took some to the person in charge of the feast. The water had become wine, and it was very good.

This was the first sign Jesus did in Cana. His disciples saw what happened and believed in him. The wedding guests could continue celebrating, and the couple had enough to serve everyone.
