A short version of the story to read aloud before colouring, with questions to ask afterwards.
Jesus taught people to ask God to forgive them, and to forgive those who had wronged them. Everyone makes mistakes and needs forgiveness. When someone says sorry, we can choose to forgive and make peace. This does not mean hurtful actions are good; it means we can let go of anger and try to repair a friendship. Jesus included these words in the prayer he taught his disciples. The picture shows two friends speaking kindly and making peace.
Questions to ask
- Can you see the two friends?
- What can you say when you have made a mistake?
- What does Jesus teach about forgiving others?
