A short version of the story to read aloud before colouring, with questions to ask afterwards.
In the Lord's Prayer, Jesus taught his followers to ask for God's kingdom to come and for God's will to be done on earth as it is in heaven. A kingdom is a place ruled by a king. Jesus wanted people to remember God's goodness and ask for his ways to be followed. The words are part of the prayer Jesus gave his disciples. When people say this line, they ask for the world to become more like what God wants. The prayer looks beyond the person praying and asks for God's good rule everywhere.
Questions to ask
- What is beside the heart?
- Who taught people to pray for God's kingdom?
- What are people asking for when they say, ?Your kingdom come??
