Read the story together
A short version of the story to read aloud before colouring, with questions to ask afterwards.
Jesus began the prayer by teaching his followers to say, ?Our Father in heaven.? These words help people remember that they can speak to God. They also remind us that God is above and greater than everything we see. People can pray at home, outside or together with others. A child might pray with a parent before bed or with a group at church. The prayer begins by turning our thoughts toward God. As you colour this page, notice the people praying and the open sky above them.
Questions to ask
- Can you point to the sky?
- Who can you talk to when you pray?
- What do the opening words of the prayer help us remember?
