“Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me. Your rod and your staff, they comfort me.”
The story behind this colouring sheet
"Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for You are with me. Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me."
Sometimes shepherds had to lead their sheep through deep, dark valleys. It could be scary! But the sheep stayed close to the shepherd.
The shepherd carried a rod to fight off wild animals, and a staff with a hook to guide the sheep and pull them out of trouble.
We all go through scary or sad times. But God promises He is always with us, even in the dark.
Talk about it
- What does the shepherd carry to help the sheep?
- Why weren't the sheep afraid in the dark valley?
- What can you remember when you feel scared?
