The story behind this colouring sheet
"You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil. My cup overflows."
In this part of the psalm, the picture changes. Now God is like a kind host welcoming a guest to a wonderful feast.
In Bible times, a good host would pour sweet-smelling oil on a guest's head to say "Welcome!" and keep filling their cup.
"My cup overflows" means God gives us so many good things that they spill over! He welcomes us and takes care of us.
Talk about it
- What food can you see on the table?
- What does "my cup overflows" mean?
- What are some good things God has given you?
