Jesus grew up in Nazareth with Mary and Joseph. Joseph was a carpenter, and Jesus learned and helped him. They worked with wood and made useful things.
The Bible says that Jesus grew strong and wise. God was with him as he grew. Jesus lived with his family and learned about the work Joseph did.
This picture imagines Jesus helping in the carpenter shop as a boy. It reminds us that Jesus had a family and grew up in a town, learning and working as children do.
