When Jesus was twelve, he travelled with Mary and Joseph to Jerusalem for a festival. On the way home, they realized he was not with their group. They returned to Jerusalem and searched for him.
After three days, they found Jesus in the temple. He was sitting with the teachers, listening and asking questions. The teachers were surprised by his understanding.
Mary and Joseph were relieved to find him. Jesus went home with them to Nazareth and obeyed them. He continued to grow in wisdom and stature.
