“It rained on the earth forty days and forty nights.”
The story behind this colouring sheet
Then the rain began. It rained and rained and rained — for forty days and forty nights!
Water burst up from under the ground and poured down from the sky. The water rose higher and higher, until it covered the hills and even the tallest mountains.
But the ark floated safely on top of the water. Inside, Noah, his family and all the animals were warm and dry.
It must have been noisy, with all the animals! And perhaps a bit smelly. But God was looking after every one of them.
Talk about it
- What is falling from the clouds?
- How many days and nights did it rain?
- When you feel scared, like during a storm, what can you remember about God?
