About the story
God told Noah to build a huge wooden boat — an ark — big enough for his family and two of every kind of animal. Noah worked hard and did everything God said.
Then the rain began. It rained for forty days and forty nights, and water covered the whole earth. But everyone inside the ark was safe.
When the rain stopped, Noah sent out a dove. The first time it came back with nothing, but the next time it brought an olive leaf — the land was drying out! At last everyone came out of the ark, and God put a rainbow in the sky as a sign of His promise.
