Make your own Bible verse coloring page

Choose any verse, or type your own words, pick one of 11 borders and print a page with the words in big bubble letters, ready to colour. It's made on your device, so nothing you type is sent to us.

1. Choose a verse

Or start with one of these:

0 of 60 characters

3. Choose a border

Choose a verse or type some words to make your page.

How to make a verse page

  1. 1

    Choose a verse

Pick a book, chapter and verse, or tap one of the favourites such as John 3:16 or Psalm 23:1. You can choose a few verses together, like 1 Corinthians 13:4–7.

  2. 2

Choose the words for the big letters

We suggest the most memorable part of the verse. Change it to anything you like, up to 60 characters: a child's name, a line from a song or a short prayer.

  3. 3

    Choose a border

Sheep in a meadow, Noah's ark, the nativity star, Easter lilies, hearts and doves and more, or a simple double line.

  4. 4

    Download or print

Download an A4 or US Letter PDF, or print it straight away. The preview shows exactly what you'll get.

Ideas for using it

  • This week's memory verse: make one page for the whole class and print a copy for each child.
  • A verse for a baptism, a dedication or a birthday, coloured in and given as a card.
  • Older children can choose their own verse and border, then say the verse to the group when they've finished.
  • A favourite verse for a bedroom wall, or for the fridge while the family learns it together.

Looking for a picture as well as the words? The ready-made Bible verse coloring pages each have a picture of what the verse means, drawn for three age groups.

Questions

Is it free?
Yes. Every page you make is free to print for home, church and classroom use, with no sign-up.
Which Bible translation does it use?
The World English Bible, British Edition: a modern translation in the public domain, so its words can go on any page you make.
Can I use my own words?
Yes, anything up to 60 characters. If you change a verse's words, the page says "Based on" before the reference, so nobody mistakes it for an exact quotation. If you don't choose a verse, no reference is printed.
Can it print the whole verse?
Yes. Tick "Also print the whole verse under the border" and the full text goes along the bottom of the page. It's ticked for you when the big letters only hold part of the verse.
Is what I type private?
Yes. The page is made in your browser, so the words you type never leave your device. We only count which border and Bible reference are used, never the words.
